This Thanksgiving think about eating all you want guilt free at Thanksgiving by burning off a few hundred calories with the Wash Park early morning Turkey Trot.

Every Thanksgiving Denverites take to the paths and streets of Wash Park for the Annual Mile High United Way Turkey Trot. This year marks the 41st Annual event and you can choose from a 4 mile run or the Family Walk. The Denver Post reported in their article “Denver turkey trot ranked among best in nation” that

The 41st annual Mile High United Way Turkey Trot fundraiser in Denver was ranked in the top 10 turkey trots by Shape Magazine out of 1,300 and was named one of the best Thanksgiving events by Forbes travel blog, according to a news release by Mile High United Way.

So it’s fun, a healthy way to burn off that second helping of mashed potatoes, and best of all it benefits a great local cause.

But don’t delay, online registration at http://unitedwaydenver.org/turkey-trot ends at 8 PM today. After that you can register at Runner’s Roost Denver on November 26th or at the race on Thursday Starting at 8 am.
