Denver Zombie Crawl

That’s right Denver, it is that time of year again when everyone gets a chance to play make believe. For our Denver Urban audience living Downtown the biggest and most entertaining Halloween celebration is the Denver Zombie Crawl.

This is a all ages event and every year it has been one of the biggest in the country. That’s right, Denver loves it’s zombies. There is not only a chance to dress up as a zombie, you can also designate yourself to be one of the victims… which does mean you will be chased by a crowd of zombies through the 16th street mall.

Where are the Zombies

The Denver Zombie Crawl takes place in the heart of the Denver Downtown on the 16th Street Mall. The “Heart” of the event takes place at Skyline Park (on the 16th Street Mall). Here are some details about the crawl.

OCTOBER 18th 2014 / Skyline Park – Denver, CO
Start/Finish lines: Skyline Park (16th Street Mall and Arapahoe)
Time Limit: 4 hours – more time this year!
Distance: Teams (2-6 zombies) will run/walk/crawl or use public transportation to travel throughout downtown – most teams will travel 3-4 miles.
Accepted transportation: running, walking, crawling, mall bus, RTD bus/light rail.
Not allowed: private vehicles, taxis, pedi-cabs, scooters, bicycles/B-cycles, skates/blades, skateboards, any other form of transportation not listed specifically above.

When is the Zombie Fun

Everything takes place on Saturday, October 18th 2014 and it is a full day of Zombie Fun. Pick from the schedule below and decide if you prefer to do a run, dance to Thriller, watch (or participate in) the costume contest, or party down at a local pub.

9:00 am – Organ Trail
12:00 – Makeup and costume help
2:00 pm – Kickoff!
3:00 pm – Widows Bane
3:55 pm – Thriller!
4:00 pm – Zombie Crawl Parade down 16th St.
5:30 pm – Costume Contests @ Skyline Park
8:00 pm – Zombie Crawl after parties at Casselman’s and Meadowlark

The Organ Trail Urban Adventure

The morning event is a sort of Zombie scavenger hunt, where you form a team to enter and try to accomplish all the challenges (that will be sent via cell phone the day of the event). You can read more and register here. http://eyeheartbrains.com/organtrail/

Of course, for those who just want to take in the sights and sounds of thousands of zombies running down the mall all you have to do is take a stroll in Denver that day or grab yourself a nice table at any of the great downtown Denver outdoor patios or restaurants and bars.
