The old University of Colorado Health Sciences Center site is finally getting a facelift. Denver based Continuum Partners is proposing a $500 million mixed use community that will place more of an emphasis on housing than on large retail. A previous development plan that wanted to place a Walmart on the 26 acre site was vigorously opposed by the community. The reviews of Continuum’s plans thus far are favorable. Continuum was also responsible for the Belmar development in Lakewood on the site of the former Villa Italia Mall.
