May, June… It is already July!

Hard to believe it is already July, seriously, where has the summer gone? Seems like just yesterday we were having snowstorms wishing for the sun to show it’s face and now we are enjoying these 90 degree days with a cold beverage on our porches watching the stunning Colorado sunsets over the Rockies. This weekend is July 4th and there is so much going on in and around the city, from daytime parties to backyard BBQs and nighttime fireworks, there are activities abound for the whole family. But you may be wondering, what is there to do after this holiday weekend?

What To Do in Denver in July

We have gathered a list of great things going on this weekend and into the month around the city for you and the family to enjoy.

Cherry Creek Arts Festival – July 3rd – 5th

This is an art festival for the books and we mean that! A world-class and award-winning celebration of visual, culinary and performing arts, this art festival has around 350,000 attendees over the span of 3 days. This year marks their 25th anniversary so make sure to make it down there for some artist demonstrations, fine cuisine sampling and interactive activities for the whole gang.

Colorado Irish Festival – July 10th – 12th – Clement Park, Littleton

irishdancersGrab your green attire and head out to Littleton to the largest Irish celebration in the Rocky Mountains with traditional Irish music and dancing, drama and storytelling, crafts, games and of course food and brews.

Biennial of the Americas – July 14-18 – Various locations

Some of the brightest minds in politics, arts, business and education gather from all over the Western Hemisphere to discuss and envision a brighter future. Enjoy a week of exhibits, conversations and cultural events with these creative minds.

Colorado Dragon Boat Festival – July 18-19 – Sloan’s Lake Park

Founded back in 2001 to celebrate Colorado’s rich Asian Pacific American culture, this festival has become the region’s fastest growing family-friendly summer festival in Denver. Explore performances, arts and crafts, shopping, dining and the ever exciting athletic competition of dragon boat racing.

Denver Post Underground Music Showcase (UMS) July 23-26 – S. Broadway

SingerYou may have heard of Austin’s South By Southwest but what about Denver’s Underground Music Showcase? Much like South, this music festival takes over the streets and stages of South Broadway for a multi-night extravaganza featuring some of the best of the best of Denver’s underground music scene. There will be over 400 local and national bands playing in 20 venues for more than 5,000 music lovers of all ages, something not to be missed.
